Excited to check out the new Patio group venture in Liberty station. Thrilled as a designer and a local to have this new trendy local haunt. 

Love the use of slab stone and mixed up styles here; crazy geometric iron and wood chairs, Indian carved bench, cowhide arm chairs with reeded backs, driftwood and more .

Love the lighting here -so simple, mesh over exposed bulbs. 

 It's certainly an eclectic mix, some might deem too many things going on but I think it creates a very exciting yet comfortable lounge bar/restaurant. Best of all: You can bring the bikes and kids here- winner! 

Something fishy in San Diego - Interior Design at Ironside

We went for the most delicious fish sandwiches and oysters at Ironside in San Diego. Design firm Basile Studio have done a fantastic job with huge creative attention to detail. I loved all the little touches.

The nautical elements throughout. 

The beautiful bar tile mini subway and hexagon with grey grout.

The trunks  and mermaid and ever increasing treasure mountain on the mezzanine floor / upper deck. Apparently the collection is constantly being added to with an ongoing scour of ebay for 2nd hard goodies.

The gilt trim, the multiple tile applications, beautiful use of brass and marble.  The bar and restaurant areas were cleverly designed allowing for all ranges of party size. The vibe was definitely hip and bubbling - what a fun new spot for Little Italy.

Researching for eco furniture for our boutique - www.designereco.com we see a lot of beautiful old driftwood and old painted boatwood put to good decoration use. From kitchen islands to chairs to flooring to cupboards - we have seen it used in many applications. Although not yet as wallpaper- this new fabulous collection is fresh out of Holland from Scrapwoodpile. We simply love it.  This would be great in a children's room or in a playroom. Also great for interesting hallways and feature walls.
