We went for the most delicious fish sandwiches and oysters at Ironside in San Diego. Design firm Basile Studio have done a fantastic job with huge creative attention to detail. I loved all the little touches.

The beautiful bar tile mini subway and hexagon with grey grout.
The trunks and mermaid and ever increasing treasure mountain on the mezzanine floor / upper deck. Apparently the collection is constantly being added to with an ongoing scour of ebay for 2nd hard goodies.
The gilt trim, the multiple tile applications, beautiful use of brass and marble. The bar and restaurant areas were cleverly designed allowing for all ranges of party size. The vibe was definitely hip and bubbling - what a fun new spot for Little Italy.
